Easter Tradition

Last year I started an Easter tradition of making "Resurrection Rolls." These are the yummiest carbs on the planet! Plus they have a special Easter Message with them. Once they are baked - they are hollow rolls, representing the empty tomb. Here's how to do it:
Dip marshmallows in melted butter (and look - I used an egg coloring dipper - it's pretty handy!)
Roll the buttered marshmallows in cinnamon sugar
Cut Pillsbury crescent rolls into squares
Pinch seams closed and put the marshmallow in the center
Wrap the marshmallow in the roll - make sure all seams are totally pinched and sealed - or the marshmallow will melt out of the roll during baking.
Cover the dough with melted butter.
Roll dough in cinnamon sugar again.

Bake as directed on package. - If marshmallow does seep out of roll, remove roll from pan while still hot - or it will stick to the pan.

Another piece of advice is . . . DO NOT eat one of the marshmallows dipped in butter and rolled in Cinnamon sugar . . . if you do . . . no amount of Weight Watcher meetings will help!!!

Anyway - it's a great thing to do with the kids while talking about the resurrection. Plus - they really are great - I put them right up there with cinnamon rolls on the delish scale.

They sound delicious. My friend has made something similar using biscuits with rolos in the center. She might also have put a marshmallow in there too. They were called Milky Ways.
