A "manly" injury

Inevitable, right? Every boy just has to have their first baseball hit to the face. Harrison's happened last night. Poor kiddo - he was out playing around with his dad and got popped in the kisser. When he came in crying to tell me what had happened - for some reason I didn't get all "motherly" about it. It wasn't a shock. I didn't regret it happening - I just took it for what it is - one step into manhood. And we treated it like that - his triumphant man injury. After a couple tylenol and some high fives - he was over the pain and I think he was pretty proud of himself.
